Here it is my take on the new collection by Beth Ditto for Evans. I am loving the new collection especially the pieces that I have featured. I am going to be completley honest that even though I have loved items from both Collections I have not actually made any purchases. I know for sure this time I will not be letting some of these go unpurchased, especially the floral denim skirt which I can see working ino my fall wardrobe very well, and the velevet drape pocket dress. I am in love with the idea of velvet for the fall and I can see many of the items from this collection being paired with tights and a pair of military boots to sky high heels. I love Beth Ditto’s style, in my opinion she is like the plus sizes Rihanna (who I also love). Beth’s style embodies everything edgy, flashy, sexy, feminine, and punk and her look has no shortage of sensulaity and moxie. For those of you who are not familiar with Ms. Ditto she is the lead singer of the punk trio The Gossip as well as a feminist and FATshionista in her own right. In the lateset news Beth Ditto size 28 walked the red carpet for the Jean Paul Gaultier ready to wear Spring/Summer 2011 show during Paris Fashion week. Gaultier is known widely for the cone bra and bustier worn by Madonna on her 1991 “Blond Ambition Tour”. One of the looks Ditto wore was a textured pink floral corsett (shown below) with fishnet stockings and black platform high heeled mary janes….so sexy.
