My trip to Peppermint Park last friday was a dream come true. I knew that meeting with Ms. Danika Trosen VP was gonna be a blast, but I had no idea that we would spend an hour chatting about everything from career paths, popular trends and designers, and how fashion has influenced our lives. The interview that I had anticipated being an inside look for my blog audience was more like an informal chat with a close friend. I felt like a kid in a candy store, Danika allowed me to just wander the racks in the warehouse and look at all of the product that they have available on the online store, I fell in love with many pieces from BCBG MaxAzria, to JLee Silvers mens wear inspired feminine garments that is exclusive to Peppermint Park.vDanika shared with me that they frequent M.A.G.I.C in Vegas and Style Max in Chicago to find designers that appeal to the women who are shopping the site. Peppermint Park does a fabulous job at identifying and translating trends to appeal to a wide range of women of all ages and sizes, and that is were I was inspired the most. Being a lover of fashion Danika and I chatted on how the plus size market is an emerging market making a major mark on  the fashion industry and I told her that I would love to see designer clothing for plus size ladies offered as well through Peppermint Park. I love the whole Peppermint Park concept and could’nt help but to be super “J” at the fact that these ladies get to work in a giant closet all day, I mean what girl wouldnt love that, it is definatley this girls dream job. I was so inspired by the female empowerment aspect that Danika spoke to and how they are involved in hosting events for women in need. Ever since I began my journey as a social worker I have been trying to find a way to bridge my desire to impact people’s lives and use fashion as a means of spiritual fulfillment, I love that feeling of putting a piece of clothing on that makes me feel unstopable and all women should have that feeling when they put their clothes on in the morning.  I recommend that everyone who reads this take minute to visit Peppermint Park because you are guranteed to find an item you cannot live without and how can you pass up something up to 80% off? Happy shopping FATshionistas, please feel free to share what you think….
